I have exactly 2 weeks before I start packing my car for my next adventure in life. A 15 day roadtrip with my best friend. We have known each other for over 20 years, and while this will not be our first roadtrip together, I am still really excited.
We have been planning this trip for over a year. We were actually going to take it last year, but I had the opportunity to start a new job and decided I needed a full-time job more than a vacation I couldn't afford. I have played the trip out so many times in my mind in this last year and I am sure that it will surpass my expectations. It is mostly unknown territory that we will be exploring, unknown to me at least.
Some of the place we are planning on going in the first few days I have been before, but not in the last 15 years. Like our last trip, three years ago, we will be visiting some historic Mormon sites in Palmyra and a few temples too, but this time it is more focused on the sights.
Last time I sent hundred of postcards, no I am not exaggerating, and tried to do a blog after the fact and I am sad to say it is still not complete. This time I am going to try a digital medium, where I will have unlimited space to write and the photos will be all my own. I hope to be able to update once a day or as often as internet acess will permit. There will be times when my cell is off due to roaming, calls in Canada are 79 cents per minute or more based on whose tower you are bouncing off of, and apparently I will be charged that rate for any voicemails that I recieve if my phone is on, because that tower was used to obtain the call. So for May 10-14th please do not call or text my cell, or if you do call please do not leave a message. I am fine. I will update the blog as often as possible and you can be assured that I am having a blast.
